Credit-based Classes
Tuition:
Dakota County Technical College's tuition rate is set yearly by the Minnesota State colleges and Universities (MnSCU) Board of Trustees and is subject to change without notice. Tuition is based upon the number of credits you would take in a given semester.
Reciprocal tuition agreements exist between Minnesota/Wisconsin, Minnesota/North Dakota, Minnesota/South Dakota, and Minnesota/Manitoba. Students from Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, and Manitoba are charged the Minnesota state residents' rate for tuition after the appropriate paperwork has been filed to establish residency. DCTC also accepts students from Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, and Nebraska under the Midwest Student Exchange Program. Tuition is 150% of the resident rate. Those interested should note on their application the desire to enroll under the MSEP Program. All reciprocity forms are available from Student Services, room 2-110.

Students pursuing the Wood Finishing Diploma or Furniture Service Technician Certificate must complete an Application for Admission and pay the $20.00 non-refundable fee. The application is available from the DCTC website: DCTC Admissions Application information

Tools for the Nine-Month Wood Finishing Diploma Program
Certain classes require various texts and tools which should be purchased before class begins or immediately at the beginning. No less than $1,100.00 can be anticipated for the minimum set of tools and materials for full time students.
A list of materials for each course will be made available to students when enrolling into that course.
